Abstract

Reproductive health problems faced by woman at the moment is the increased infection of the reproductive organs, which ultimately lead to cancer, one of which is the cause of cervical cancer deaths in the world number two in 2010. Low awareness of women for Pap smear are other factors that aggravate the risk, so this research is important to know the factors that cause women do not conduct early risk of cervical cancer. Purpose this research is knowing the factors that affect the interests of the mother of the Pap smear. Using Analytical Descriptive research design with cross sectional approach, with a sample of 45 people. questionnaires and measuring instruments using univariate and bivariate data analysis using Chi Square. The results using the chi square test on the can that there is no relationship between age (p=1.000), education (p = .449) and knowledge (p - 1.000) with a maternal interest in the Pap smear. From the results of this study expect to health workers and health agencies can provide counseling about danger signs Ca. WUS cervix and more attention in order to avoid the risk of Cancer and to reduce maternal mortality in Indonesia.
