Abstract

Post-surgical pain of SC will cause physical and psychological reactions in postpartum mothers such as mobilization disorders, lazy activity, difficulty sleeping, no appetite, do not want to care for the baby so that needed a way to control the pain in order to adapt to post operative pain sectio caesarea. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hand-held finger relaxation techniques on the postoperative pain of Sectio Caesarea (SC) surgery. The design of this research is quasi experiment with pretest�posttest with control group The sampling technique using consequtive sampling. The number of respondents is 58 people consist of 29 control group and 29 groups of measuring instrument intervention used by NRS (numerical rating scale). The results showed that average pain before intervention control group 5 pain scale and intervention group 5.5. After the pain scale intervention in the control group 4.1 and the intervention group 3.4. There is a difference of pain before and after hand intervention done by the husband (p-value = 0,000).
